VSNL’s net profit for the fourth quarter, ended March 31, 2006, amounted to Rs 1.1 billion (down from Rs 4.1 billion in the corresponding quarter last year). This was despite higher revenues as well as higher profits before taxes and exceptional items.
VSNL’s net profit for the year ended March 31, 2006 dipped by 36.6 per cent to Rs 48 billion over the previous fiscal year.
