Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has indicated a decline in net profit in 2005-06. The company expects gross revenues of Rs 395 billion and a net profit of less than Rs 100 billion for financial year 2005-06. Its future plans include a capital expenditure of Rs 160-170 billion this year to expand landlines and broadband connections. It also plans to invest Rs 15 billion to connect 14,000 villages with satellite phones.
