Vodafone Qatar has been awarded the country’s second fixed line licence.

Vodafone Qatar has been awarded the country’s second fixed line licence. The operator can now offer services related to fixed telephony and data, leased lines, international connectivity and very small aperture terminals. However, the company is awaiting the government’s approval of the shareholding structure.

Thereafter, Vodafone Qatar will be required to pay a licence fee of $2.75 million.
