China International Telecommunication Construction Corporation and Nepal Telecom, the state-owned companies of China and Nepal respectively, have reportedly signed a deal to connect the two countries through a modern optical superhighway link.

China International Telecommunication Construction Corporation and Nepal Telecom, the state-owned companies of China and Nepal respectively, have reportedly signed a deal to connect the two countries through a modern optical superhighway link. The 125 km superhighway will enable Nepal to connect with the rest of the world via China. The project is expected to start in November this year and be completed by mid-2008.
