According to Vodafone India, the company?s small and medium enterprise (SME) segment business for hosted connectivity and facilities is growing much faster than the overall 20 per cent growth being witnessed in the enterprise business.

As per company officials, currently, VBS provides communication and IT services to enterprises in 150 cities. A number of ancillary companies as well as large companies require a strong telecommunication network. Over the past year, the revenue contribution from enterprise business to Vodafone India?s overall revenues has increased to 11 per cent.

To meet the growing demand for telecom services by SME segment, the company has tripled the number of fixed lines it had at the end of March 2013. Further, in 2014, VMS plans to strengthen its current infrastructure as a part of its increased focus on the higher-margin corporate business, which is expected to grow 20 per cent annually.
