
Vodafone India has partnered with ICICI Bank to launch the M-Pesa money transfer facility in the Maharashtra circle.
The service will be available across 286 tehsils, 33 districts through 4,080 authorised agents and across 387 authorised retail outlets run by the operator in Maharashtra.
Using the M-Pesa service, subscribers will be able to deposit and withdraw cash from designated outlets, transfer money to any mobile phone in the country, pay their utility bills, recharge their mobile phones and shop at select outlets.
Besides, Maharashtra, the M Pesa service is already available in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh (East), Uttar Pradesh (West), Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Goa.
