Vodafone Essar is close to signing a five-year IT outsourcing deal with IBM India. Through the deal, IBM India will manage Vodafone Essar’s data centre operations and desktop, laptop and IT helpdesk functions. The move will enable Vodafone Essar to keep pace with the rapid growth it has planned in India, while also delivering cost efficiencies.
