Vodafone Essar has launched a per-second billing plan for national and international long distance calls on its world calling cards.

Vodafone Essar has launched a per-second billing plan for national and international long distance calls on its world calling cards.

Under the scheme, national long distance (NLD) calls will be charged at Re 0.01 per second. Meanwhile, calls made to the US and Canada will be charged at Re 0.04 per second and to the Gulf region at Re 0.12 per second. Calls to fixed line phones in the UK and Europe have been priced at Re 0.04 per second while calls to mobile phones in this region will be charged at Re 0.12 per second. This scheme also allows its post-paid and prepaid users to make calls to China, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia at similar rates.
