Swisscom AG will repurchase a 25 per cent stake in Swisscom Mobile from the UK’s Vodafone Group for $3.5 billion.

Swisscom AG will repurchase a 25 per cent stake in Swisscom Mobile from the UK’s Vodafone Group for $3.5 billion. The debtfinanced purchase is expected to boost Swisscom’s annual profits by around 180 million francs starting 2007. However, the sale will reportedly not affect Vodafone’s revenues and profit margins.
