Virgin Mobile plans to enter the Indian market through a 50 per cent-owned joint venture with TTSL. The company will exclusively license its brand name Virgin Mobile and technological expertise in value-added services (VAS) and handsets to TTSL.

Consequently, TTSL will be able to utilise Virgin’s core expertise in marketing and service innovation to offer a new range of services targeted at the youth. Virgin Mobile, the world’s first mobile virtual network operator, is present in six countries: the US, the UK, France, South Africa, Australia and Canada.
