Vinod Sawhny has stepped down as chief executive officer (CEO) of Reliance Communications (RCOM). Post his resignation, William Barney and Gurdeep Singh will function as acting co-chief executives of the company. Prior to joining RCOM, Sawhny was associated with the Bharti Group for over 10 years in various roles, including as member of the Bharti Airtel Management Board; joint president, Airtel Enterprise business; executive director and CEO, Airtel Mobility; and president and chief operating officer, Bharti Retail.
