
Videocon Telecom has reported revenues of Rs 4.89 billion for the third quarter ended December 2014, a growth of 34 per cent from Rs 3.65 billion in the corresponding period in 2013. The operator has attributed the improvement in top line to rise in revenues from mobile services business. Its mobile services revenue grew by 53 per cent from Rs 1.31 billion to Rs 2.02 billion during the same period.
The operator asserted that this growth occurred on account of an organic growth in the subscriber base, minutes of usage and data consumption, realisations per minute and average revenue per user. Videocon Telecom stated that its subscriber base had reached 9 million across its 4 operating circles as of December 2014. The minutes of usage increased by about 30 per cent year on year for the quarter ended December 2014.
The company is targeting gross earnings of Rs 20 billion for the year ended March 2015, with growth driven by higher subscriber base and increased minute of usage.
