Swedish telecom equipment manufacturer Ericsson has recently bagged several contracts in Bangladesh. Warid Telecom International has awarded Ericsson a prime integrator contract to plan, design and integrate an in-building solution (IBS) spanning 43 cities across the country. The IBS improves wireless coverage inside buildings, resulting in stronger signals at indoor locations.
Ericsson has also sealed a deal with GrameenPhone to build and integrate a complete IP mobile backbone network for the introduction of layered architecture across Bangladesh. This marks GrameenPhone’s first step towards an all-IP network.
