US-based private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) has eportedly bought a 2 to 2.5 per cent stake in Bharti Airtel’s tower firm, Bharti Infratel, for $250 million.

US-based private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) has reportedly bought a 2 to 2.5 per cent stake in Bharti Airtel’s tower firm, Bharti Infratel, for $250 million. This takes up the total private placement made by Bharti Infratel to $1.25 billion. In December 2007, the company had divested $1 billion worth of stake in Bharti Infratel to a group of international investors.
