As per the latest data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) gained 1.21 million, 1.38 million and 0.42 million wireless (mobile) subscribers respectively, while Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) lost 1.01 million subscribers month-on-month during November 2025. Meanwhile, the wireless subscriber base of Airtel, Jio and BSNL increased to 394.88 million, 486.08 million and 92.96 million respectively. In addition, Vi’s user base shrank to 199.71 million.

Besides, TRAI data showed that Airtel, Jio and BSNL gained 0.82 million, 0.40 million and 0.14 million respectively while Vi lost 1.20 million in rural India for wireless. The data released by the regulator also showed that overall wireless tele-density increased marginally to 86.77 per cent in November 2025 from 86.76 per cent in October 2025.

Separately, TRAI data showed that Airtel, Jio and Vi gained 0.07 million, 0.17 and 0.01 million wireline users, increasing their landline user base to 10.76 million, 14.54 million and 0.82 million respectively. Meanwhile, BSNL saw marginal loss of 0.008 million users.

Further, the month of November 2025 witnessed Jio, BSNL and Airtel widening their wireless customer market share to 41.41 per cent, 7.92 per cent and 33.64 per cent respectively, up from 41.36 per cent, 7.90 per cent and 33.59 per cent respectively in the previous month. Furthermore, Vi narrowed its customer base to 17.01 per cent as against 17.13 per cent in October 2025.

Furthermore, in the month of November 2025, about 14.69 million subscribers submitted their requests for Mobile Number Portability (MNP). With this, the cumulative MNP requests increased from 1,220.66 million at the end of October 2025 to 1,235.35 million at the end of November 2025, since implementation of MNP.
