Reliance Jio has partnered with Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung and Cisco for the deployment of its 5G network in India. In addition, the telco is collaborating with Google on Google Cloud to develop an ultra-affordable 5G smartphone.
Speaking at the company’s 45th annual general meeting, Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director, Reliance Industries Limited, informed that Jio is also working with Microsoft to expand the Azure ecosystem cloud-enabled business applications and solutions for small and medium enterprises in India, as well as with Intel for cloud-scale data centres and 5G edge locations.
Ambani further revealed that Jio has forged a collaboration with Qualcomm to develop 5G solutions for India, which can be taken to the rest of the world. Besides, the telco is working with Meta for immersive technology-based use cases.
