Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released the “Indian Telecom Services Performance Indicator Report” for the quarter ending (QE) September, 30 2025. This report provides a broad perspective of the telecom services in India and presents the key parameters and growth trends of the telecom services in India for the period covering July 1, 2025 to September 30, 2025 compiled mainly on the basis of information furnished by the service providers.
According to the report, telecom service providers’ gross revenue touched a new record in the September quarter of financial year 2025-26 (FY26), rising 9.19 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 998.28 billion, just shy of the Rs 1 trillion mark. This compares with Rs 914.26 billion in the same quarter last year and Rs 966.46 billion in the June 2025 quarter.
The report mentioned that adjusted gross revenue (AGR) increased 9.35 per cent YoY to Rs 823.48 billion, up from Rs 753.10 billion in September 2024. Among operators, Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and others together reported AGR of Rs 692.29 billion, contributing about 84 per cent of the total.
Jio’s AGR rose nearly 11 per cent to Rs 305.73 billion, while Airtel recorded a 12.53 per cent jump to Rs 277.20 billion. Vi posted Rs 80.62 billion. BSNL reported Rs 20.20 billion, a modest 1.19 per cent rise, and Tata Teleservices’ AGR increased 7.06 per cent to Rs 7.37 billion. Smaller operators posted less than Rs 0.5 billion each.
Further, the report highlighted that the government collections also strengthened. License fees rose 9.38 per cent YoY to Rs 65.88 billion, while spectrum usage charges increased 5.49 per cent to Rs 9.97 billion in the September 2025 quarter.
