AT&T is planning to invest over $750 million in 2007 to accelerate the delivery of global internet protocol (IP) services and solutions to businesses and multinational companies in its key markets worldwide. With this investment, AT&T will execute over 200 initiatives to enhance and expand its retail and wholesale services and solutions. The US-based service provider will add several advanced features to its VPN services and voice over internet protocol (VoIP) service portfolios, while enhancing the quality of its voice services, security services and electronic customer service capabilities. The company will also extend the deployment of key access technologies such as Wi-Fi, DSL, Ethernet and satellite to help companies connect to AT&T’s global IP network.
