In an attempt to ensure streamlined communication during emergency situations and rescue operations, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has floated a pre-consultation paper on this subject.

Further, it has asked industry stakeholders and experts to put forward their views on the same by November 30.

Thereafter, the regulator plans to establish minimum arrangements to ensure that the personnel involved in response and recovery-related activities do not experience any congestion in telecom networks.
