The Singapore government’s plan to develop an ultra high speed national broadband infrastructure is moving ahead with the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) pre-qualifying 12 bidders for the project. The pre-qualified bidders, which include Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation, SingTel, StarHub, Alcatel Singapore, Axia NetMedia Corporation, British Telecommunications Singapore and Digital Distribution Australia, will be invited to participate in a competitive dialogue between April and July 2007 in order to provide feedback on a set of parameters and specifications.
