Egypt-based telecom service provider Orascom Telecom has made an offer for Telecom Italia’s 38 per cent stake in Brazilian fixed line operator Brasil Telecom Participacoes. According to sources, Orascom is prepared to pay up to $450 million for the stake.
Telecom Italia is currently assessing Orascom’s bid.
