The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has reportedly suspended the national long distance (NLD) and international long distance (ILD) licences of Redtone Telecommunications. The regulator has reportedly taken this decision based on claims that Redtone had been concealing details of the number of minutes of international incoming traffic on its network. Under the terms of its licence, Redtone was required to deposit an access promotion contribution for the Universal Service Fund based on the total number of minutes of international incoming traffic.
