The Orissa government has awarded a Rs 700 million contract to Mumbai-based telecom solutions provider Spanco Telesystems and Solutions, for setting up its state wide area network (SWAN).

The Orissa government has awarded a Rs 700 million contract to Mumbai-based telecom solutions provider Spanco Telesystems and Solutions, for setting up its state wide area network (SWAN).

According to the terms of the contract, Spanco, in collaboration with ITI, will build, own and operate the Orissa SWAN, providing voice and data connectivity to 300 districts and blocks.
