The Haryana government has invoked the Rs 15 million bank guar antee of RCOM for not providing it with bandwidth as agreed upon for the state wide area network (SWAN) programme.

The Haryana government has invoked the Rs 15 million bank guarantee of RCOM for not providing it with bandwidth as agreed upon for the state wide area network (SWAN) programme. In accordance with the agreement signed earlier by the state government and the company, the government would not have charged RCOM for laying optical fibre cables across the state and in return, the company was supposed to provide free bandwidth to government departments for successfully implementing the SWAN network.
