The EGoM has decided to levy a spectrum usage charge of 3 per cent of the annual revenues on the new operators providing 3G services. The incumbent operators will have to pay 1 per cent of their annual revenue in addition to the 2-6 per cent they already pay as 2G spectrum usage fee. The EGoM has decided not to impose a 2 per cent administrative tax on the successful bidders for 3G spectrum.
