The British Telecom (BT) Group has decided to slash 10,000 more jobs, representing about 6 per cent of its global workforce. BT is also likely to announce $2.2 billion worth of write-downs on the value of its contracts. Most of these contracts are reported to be held by the company’s troubled global services division, which caters to big multinational customers.
