As per the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) data, operators generated gross revenues of Rs 763.68 billion during the quarter ended June 2025. These included unified access service licence (UASL), unified licence (UL), and mobile + basic licence holders.
Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited reported the highest gross revenue at Rs 327.95 billion, followed by Bharti Airtel at Rs 265.6 billion, Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) at Rs 123.82 billion, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited at Rs 37.55 billion, and Tata Teleservices Limited at Rs 8.31 billion.
Circle-wise, Maharashtra reported the highest gross revenue at Rs 73.17 billion. It was followed by Uttar Pradesh East at Rs 61.04 billion, Andhra Pradesh at Rs 56.54 billion, Bihar at Rs 55.07 billion and Tamil Nadu (including Chennai) at Rs 53.74 billion.
The least revenue generating telecom circles were the Northeast (Rs 4.04 billion), Himachal Pradesh (Rs 5.47 billion), Jammu & Kashmir (Rs 8.46 billion), Kolkata (Rs 15.28 billion) and Haryana (Rs 16.14 billion).


As per TRAI data, companies operating in the national long distance (NLD) space generated total gross revenues of Rs 68.01 billion during the quarter ended June 2025.
At Rs 18.21 billion, Vi accounted for 26.77 per cent of the total industry NLD revenues. It was followed by Airtel (Rs 13.92 billion), Tata Communications (Rs 12.18 billion), BSNL (Rs 11.49 billion) and Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (Rs 3.63 billion).
Meanwhile, companies operating in the international long distance (ILD) space generated total gross revenues of Rs 31.44 billion during the quarter under consideration.
Vi recorded the highest gross revenue in the ILD segment at Rs 9.63 billion. It was followed by Airtel (Rs 8.15 billion), Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (Rs 6.3 billion), Tata Communications Limited (Rs 2.01 billion), AT&T Global Network Services India Private Limited (Rs 1.43 billion) and Verizon Communications India Private Limited (Rs 1.24 billion).
