- As per the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) data, operators generated gross revenues of Rs 654 billion during the quarter ended December 2023. These included unified access service licence (UASL), unified licence (UL) and mobile+basic licence holders.
- Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited reported the highest gross revenue of Rs 264.19 billion, followed by Bharti Airtel at Rs 232.37 billion, Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) at Rs 117.44 billion, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited at Rs 34.35 billion, and Tata Teleservices Limited at Rs 5.1 billion.
- Circle-wise, Maharashtra reported the highest gross revenue at Rs 54.95 billion. It was followed by Uttar Pradesh East at Rs 50.6 billion, Andhra Pradesh at Rs 49.09 billion, Tamil Nadu (including Chennai) at Rs 47.87 billion and Delhi at Rs 47.1 billion.
- The least revenue generating telecom circles were the Northeast (Rs 4.08 billion), Himachal Pradesh (Rs 5.2 billion), Jammu & Kashmir (Rs 7.18 billion), Assam (Rs 13.97 billion) and Haryana (Rs 14.28 billion).
