In a move to deepen Egypt–India collaboration in telecom, Tejas Networks has certified 21 instructors from Egypt’s National Telecommunications Institute (NTI) under its “Train the Trainers” (ToT) program. The program was conducted with support from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and is focused on advanced networking and optical fibre technologies, aiming to build a strong pool of certified technical professionals in Egypt.

The initiative will lead to the establishment of the first-ever Tejas Academy in Egypt, set to operate from within NTI. This academy will become part of NTI’s growing network of international telecom training centres and marks Tejas Networks’ first international academy in the country.

Dr Ahmed Khattab, director, NTI, highlighted that the academy will offer global-level certification and technical support in networking and fibre optics, enhancing skill development and job readiness for Egyptian engineers. It is expected to play a key role in creating a highly qualified workforce for the evolving telecom landscape.
