
The state owned consultancy firm Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) has got government?s nod to acquire its partner?s 60 per cent stake in TCIL Saudi Co. Limited (TSCL) from Saudi-Arabia based company, NESMA Group. The stake is valued at Rs 28 million and the investment would be made from TCIL’s internal resources.
TSCL is a joint venture between TCIL and Nesma, a well-diversified Saudi conglomerate.
TCIL was incorporated in 1978 and is engaged in telecom projects in India and abroad. In the past, TCIL has worked on various strategic communication projects for countries such as Nepal, Bangaldesh, Afghanistan, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.
