
According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Bharti Airtel led the Indian broadband market at the end of March 2015 with a market share of 22.19 per cent.
Bharti Airtel was followed by Vodafone India and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in second and third position with a market share of 19.53 per cent and 19.03 per cent respectively. Meanwhile, Idea Cellular and Reliance Communications (RCOM) had a market share of 14.64 per cent and 8.01 per cent respectively.
Further, in March, 2015, wired broadband segment was led by BSNL with 9.96 million customers, followed by Bharti Airtel (1.43 million), Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (1.14 million), Atria Convergence Technologies (0.67 million) and YOU Broadband (0.44 million). Meanwhile, the wireless broadband segment was led by Bharti Airtel with 20.58 million customers, followed by Vodafone India (19.37 million), Idea Cellular (14.52 million), BSNL (8.92 million) and RCOM (7.83 million).
