According to Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Union Minister of Communications and Development of the North Eastern Region, India is poised to become the epicentre of global connectivity, with all major trading routes expected to pass through the country over the next decade.

Scindia mentioned that Tata Group is setting up one of India’s first semiconductor fabs in the north-eastern states, positioning the region as a potential economic and trade hub.

Scindia highlighted that India’s sustained rise is rooted in strong economic fundamentals and structural transformation. He compared it to the US, which achieved superpower status by maintaining three to four per cent growth over a century, while India has been growing at around 8 per cent over the past decade.

Scindia further emphasised the world’s fastest 5G rollout happening in India and the global interest in India’s UPI model, now being adopted by developed nations.
