Tata Communications has announced a cumulative investment of $152 million to expand capacity on its global subsea cable network linking India with Singapore. As part of this, the company is adding 20 terabits per second (Tbps) of capacity to the MIST Cable System between Mumbai and Singapore, entailing an investment of $63 million in FY27.

In addition, Tata Communications is participating as a consortium member in a new subsea cable system connecting Chennai to Singapore under Project CS, which will carry 78 Tbps of capacity. This project involves an investment of $89 million between financial year 2026-27 (FY27) and FY31 and is expected to be service-ready by the fourth quarter of 2029.
