Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) has issued a licence to Vee Telecom Multimedia to offer Wi-Max services in the country. Vee Telecom is planning to commercially launch these services in the Kinmen and Taichung regions by April 2010. Meanwhile, NCC is currently reviewing First International Telecom’s (Fitel) application for a Wi-Max operating licence. Fitel is the last of Taiwan’s six licensees that applied for an operating licence.
