Taiwan Mobile has earned 49.5 million New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) from selling 5.8 million Chunghwa Telecom shares at an average cost of NT$54.21 a share. After the sale, it still owns 79.1 million Chunghwa Telecom shares, equivalent to a 0.8 per cent stake.
Meanwhile, Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan’s largest phone company, may also sell 773.4 million shares, or an 8 per cent stake, domestically. It is also planning an American depositary receipt issue.
