Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) has partnered with Indian Railways to offer Wi-Fi services at select few railway stations across the country.

To begin with, the operator has identified a few of the country?s busiest railway stations including Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Agra, Mumbai CST, Howrah and Secunderabad for providing Wi-Fi services. Trials at these railway stations are already in progress. Initially, SSTL will offer Wi-Fi services at these stations free for 30 minutes to gauge the user response. Subsequently, the operator plans to launch Wi-Fi services commercially providing customers access to internet, email and mobile applications through smartphones, netbooks and laptops.
