Jumping upon the 3G bandwagon, Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) has launched 3G PLUS mobile broadband services in all the circles it operates in. The facility is based on the Evolution-Data Optimised (EV-DO) Rev. B Phase II platform.
Offering customers speeds of up to 9.8Mbps, the service can be accessed via data dongles, priced at Rs 1,399. Further, SSTL is looking to offer this facility on smartphones by December.
Customers can avail of 10 GB of free data for the first 30 days. Thereafter, several tariff plans are available, with monthly rentals ranging between Rs 700 (with 5 GB of free data per month) and Rs 1,399 (with 20 GB of free data).
