
Bharti Airtel plans to come up with a 4G handset priced around Rs 4,000 (and upwards) in the country. The move is aimed at providing potential 4G users a bundled deal comprising of 4G services along with affordable 4G handset.
The operator is reportedly in talks with Taiwan-based, mobile handset manufacturing firm Foxconn for coming up with branded 4G handsets. At present, Bharti Airtel is in the process of expanding its 4G footprint. The operator has already rolled out the service in cities such as Nagpur, Aurangabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Chandigarh, and Patiala among others. Further, 4G trials have been launched for existing Airtel customers in Delhi, Hyderabad, Vizag, Madurai, Chennai, Coimbatore and Mumbai.
