South Korean fixed line and broadband operator SK Broadband has signed a deal with Alcatel-Lucent under which the latter will sup ply and maintain its IP service routing solution to support SK’s real time IPTV service.

South Korean fixed line and broadband operator SK Broadband has signed a deal with Alcatel-Lucent under which the latter will supply and maintain its IP service routing solution to support SK’s realtime IPTV service. Alcatel-Lucent will supply an IP/multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) infrastructure, providing scalability and bandwidth on demand, as well as increased service level guarantees.

It will also supply its 7750 Service Router in the core and aggregation levels of the network.
