
Aravind Sitaraman has resigned from the position of President ? Inclusive Growth at Cisco Systems. Sitaraman now plans to work with start-ups in Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad, and advise them on technology strategy. He is also likely to work with universities in Bangalore and Pune to create entrepreneurs and successful start-ups.
In October 2010, Sitaraman was appointed President, Inclusive Growth where he led a team of 15-20 engineers and sales staff. Prior to this, he worked under the position of managing director of the Cisco Development Organisation, where he managed the company?s research and development activities in India from 2007-09. He has sponsored the Innovation Hub to incubate new technologies and in 2009, he started the Emerging Countries Solutions and Services Business Unit. He has also led Cisco India?s corporate social responsibility efforts and launched several successful programmes, including ?Feed-a-Child? and ?Adopt-a-School.?
Sitaraman has over 29 years of experience with 57 patents in the field of computer science.
