Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has inked agreements with international banks for credit facilities worth around S$3.7 billion.
SingTel and its Australian unit Optus each signed a three-year agreement for a committed revolving credit facility with 12 banks in Singapore and Australia.
The banks include the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, Deutsche, Standard Chartered, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, BNP Paribas, DBS and United Overseas Bank.
SingTel plans to use the funds for general corporate purposes and to re-finance existing loans.
