SingTel Global India is taking steps to consolidate its presence in the country.
The company currently holds international and national long distance licences in India and operates an undersea cable system.
Also, its parent company, the SingTel Group, has a 32.3 per cent stake in Bharti Airtel. This is managed by its Mobile Operations group, and the points of presence in India are managed by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) group.
Now, it has chalked out plans to expand its presence to several more cities in India, including Jaipur and Ahmedabad, and double its workforce by 2014.
