SingTel, along with the Vodafone Group, is interested in acquiring the 30 per cent stake in Taiwan Mobile that Taiwan Fixed Network is planning to sell. Taiwan Fixed Network’s stake of about 1,485 million shares in Taiwan Mobile is worth about 46 billion Taiwanese dollars. Both the Taiwanese companies are reportedly eager to do away with their stock cross-holdings to comply with corporate governance principles.
