Chairman and managing director (MD), Sify Technologies (Sify) held meeting with chief minister, Uttar Pradesh to discuss artificial intelligence (AI)-led digital transformation and the development of proposed ‘AI Cities’ in Lucknow and Noida. During the meeting, the chief minister mentioned that AI is expected to drive transformative change across governance, industry, healthcare, education and manufacturing.
He added that the Uttar Pradesh government is actively promoting AI-led investments by strengthening digital infrastructure and creating a supportive policy framework.
Meanwhile, Sify’s MD and chairman highlighted that the company has invested over Rs 120 billion in Uttar Pradesh over the past five years, largely towards building advanced data centre facilities in Lucknow and Noida. He added that Sify plans to double this investment over the next three years.
Further, he shared that Sify’s AI edge data centre in Lucknow is nearing completion, and that plans are in place to develop a large hyperscale AI campus in the surrounding area. The proposed AI clusters in Lucknow and Noida will be interconnected through Sify’s national fibre network, enabling high-speed, low-latency AI workloads.
