
Samsung has launched Z1 smartphone, its first based on the Tizen operating system, at a price of Rs 5,700. The Z1 smartphone has a 4-inch WVGA display with a screen resolution of 480×800 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with Mali 400 GPU and runs on Tizen 2.3. It has 768 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory, which is expandable up to 64 GB through a microSD card.
The Z1 smartphone features a 3.1 megapixel primary camera and a VGA front-facing camera. It offers connectivity options including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3G. The smartphone also features built-in antivirus protection, an ultra power saving mode to extend the battery life, and free access to Hungama music application for three months, as well as premium content though Club Samsung.
Samsung has also launched a bundled offer with Reliance Communications and Aircel on Z1 smartphone. With this, the users will be able to access up to 500 MB of 3G data free per month for six months.
