Samsung has established an artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data engineering ‘Samsung Student Ecosystem for Engineered Data (Samsung SEED)’ Lab at the KLE Technological University in Karnataka’s Hubbali.
The ‘SEED Lab’ will allow students and faculty members at KLE University to jointly work on research and development projects under the mentorship of senior engineers of Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore (SRI-B), who work in the domains of mobile camera technology, speed, and text recognition and ML.
The studio is equipped with an experimental darkroom with lighting equipment, as well as tools for assessing image quality. It also has backend infrastructure to store, process, and archive large volumes of data.
The lab will allow students in the third and fourth years of B.Tech, as well as M.Tech and PhD scholars at KLE Tech to participate in collaborative joint research projects. Students will also be helped to publish papers jointly with SRI-B engineers.
