Sachin Arora: Head of Connectivity and IoT for India, G+D
Sachin Arora is a seasoned technology leader with over 20 years of experience in the telecom and connectivity space. As the Head of Connectivity and IoT for India at Giesecke+Devrient (G+D), he is leading the company’s strategy in a rapidly evolving market, driven by 5G, eSIM adoption and the growing need for secure, scalable IoT infrastructure.
Arora’s role spans a wide range of responsibilities including sales, strategy, research and development, operations and client engagement. He is deeply involved in steering business development across telecom operators, enterprises and key industry verticals, helping them navigate the complexities of digital transformation. Under his leadership, G+D is actively investing in advanced platforms and strategic partnerships, ensuring end-to-end value delivery–from SIM hardware to eSIM management and cutting-edge IoT solutions.
With the rapid growth of connected devices, particularly in the IoT and machine-to-machine segments, Arora is especially focused on regulatory evolution, data security and localised infrastructure in markets such as India. He believes G+D is uniquely positioned to support secure digital infrastructure, given its global pedigree in security and deep domain expertise in telecom.
Prior to G+D, Arora held various leadership roles across India and Germany, where he built a reputation for driving innovation, business transformation and operational excellence. “Being at the intersection of telecom, technology and policy gives me a front-row seat to how this sector is transforming economies and everyday lives,” he quips.
Among his key strengths is strategic execution, translating complex challenges into practical, scalable outcomes. He has led cross-functional teams through high-stakes projects and built businesses from the ground up. At the same time, he remains a hands-on leader, mentoring teams and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and collaboration. His management style is empowering and adaptable–anchored in trust, clear communication and problem-solving approach. He believes in giving teams ownership, while being available for strategic guidance.
An engineering graduate from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Arora also holds an MBA from Symbiosis, an executive management credential from IIM Kolkata and several industry certifications including PMP and PRINCE2.
Outside work, he enjoys an active lifestyle–often playing squash, cricket, or chess, or trekking in the hills. Arora lives in India with his wife, their two sons and his parents.
