Reliance Jio leads in 4G download speed while Vi in upload speed during May 2021, says TRAI

According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio continues to maintain leadership in the 4G segment with 20.7 megabit per second (Mbps) average download speed in May 2021. Further, it had an upload speed of 4.2 Mbps.

Meanwhile, Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) topped the chart in terms of upload speed with 6.7 Mbps data speed during the period under consideration. Meanwhile, Vi’s average download speed stood at 6.3 Mbps.

This is the first time when TRAI clubbed network speed of Vodafone and Idea after their merger in August 2018.

Further, Bharti Airtel recorded the lowest average speed of 4.7 Mbps, while its upload speed stood at 3.6 Mbps.
