RailTel Corporation of India Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NHPC Limited, India’s leading hydropower company, for providing a wide range of information technology (IT) and information and communications technology (ICT) services to NHPC. The MoU was signed in the presence of Sanjai Kumar, chairman and managing director (CMD), RailTel; Raj Kumar Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC; Yashpal Singh Tomar, director, Network Planning and Marketing, RailTel and other senior officials from both organisations.
Under this partnership, RailTel will offer NHPC comprehensive IT and ICT solutions like data centre (DC) and disaster recovery (DR) services, CCTV surveillance solutions for enhanced security, IT/OT infrastructure for operational efficiency, security operations centre (SOC) services to ensure robust cybersecurity etc. as per requirement of NHPC.
The MoU aims to establish a long-term strategic relationship, allowing NHPC to avail itself of RailTel’s advanced digital infrastructure and IT services at competitive rates, while ensuring compliance with central government norms and cybersecurity protocols.
