RailTel Corporation of India (RailTel) has announced that it has won an order worth Rs 198.3 million from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for setting up a data centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
As per an exchange filing, the scope of work includes providing implementation services for establishing a data centre within the existing premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The Rs 198.3 million project is scheduled to be completed by December 25, 2029.
Further, the company clarified that none of its promoters or members of the promoter group have any interest in the awarding authority. It also stated that the transaction does not qualify as a related-party transaction under the applicable regulatory framework.
